Green Cheeks…I think I shall just call them my ‘cheekies’… are so much fun. These birds are a bundle of energy. One of my cheekies, Riot, loves to bounce…right off the ground…both feet!! He is just hilarious. He is like a little kid that just wants my attention. His girlfriend, and future wife, is a little more reserved but still very curious and likes to watch the action. They have so much personality.

I feed them a huge variety of foods, cooked Beak Appetit (they LOVE Nuts for Alfredo), fresh veggies and fruit, sprouts, a variety of pellets, as well as fruit and nut mixture and some seeds. They are little piggies and will pretty much eat anything I give them.

They are given a huge variety of toys, boings, orbits and swings which are well used because they are so active. 

There water dish needs constant replenishing as they LOVE to bathe in it!!! What a mess they can make. After they have had a lovely time bathing they will soak all their food in the water and make theee most disgusting sloup…yes I did mean sloup…that is my new word for the day.

If you have ever considered adding a birdie to your family I seriously suggest checking out these lovely, entertaining, social birds.

Hello there!!

Well thanks to my friend Wendy I am now having a whole lot of fun playing around with this blogging thing!!! I am really not sure what I am doing but hope that when I eventually push the right button I will have a nifty little bloggy thing. I dont think I am really accomplishing anything except yet another thing to spend my time on.

But at least I get to share with any of you who might be interested pics of my beloved birds!! Plus I can keep everyone updated on any birds and or babies I have for sale!!

New Beginnings Sweet & Cuddly Lovebirds

New Beginnings Aviary is now offering gorgeous beautiful mutations of Lovebirds. We currently have two pairs sitting on eggs and are looking forward to the amazing colours that will show up with the arrival of babies!!!
